Along the Quai

Along the Seine and Canal Saint-Martin, Paris seems to breathe differently. The water invites us to slow down—to sit, reflect, and recapture a sense of ourselves—yet the riverfront is never without energy: a passing tour boat stirs the water, runners and cyclists follow the quay, friends gather, and music draws dancers into the amphitheaters. Here, movement and stillness flow side by side, inviting us to join the rhythm of the city or quietly recapture a little of one’s soul beside the water.
